NATURAL HEALTH MATTERS

What can Acupuncture treat?
Almost any illness can be treated including muscular skeletal, allergy, asthma, eczema, digestive, emotional, gynaecological, neurological and many other imbalances.

What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is over 3000 years old. It treats the whole person by influencing blood circulation and body energy and nerve pathways. Treatment may utilise acupuncture needles, herbal moxa warming of needles, lymph tissue cupping and acupressure. In the case of young children, special Infant Chinese Massage and gentle Laser treatment are the preferred options.

Details on Acupuncture Treatments
Acupuncture treatments are approximately 1/2 to 3/4 hour and visits tend to be weekly or, for very acute problems twice weekly. The number of Acupuncture visits required depends on a person’s energetic state and how long term the condition is.

It is always easier to treat more recent conditions than to start treatment months later after a person has ‘ done the round’ of various doctors and specialists etc. The average number of visits is 4-6 sessions. Treatment can be coordinated with other modalities and is especially helpful to relax the muscles and enhance the effectiveness of Osteopathic or Chiropractic treatments.

As a member of NZ Register of Acupuncturists Peter is an ACC Treatment Provider and is recognised by some Health Funds.
